Westermill campsite is a beautiful, secluded valley site in the centre of Exmoor National Park, which consists of fifteen acres, divided into four fields. Set up your pitch on mown meadows beside the River Exe where you can take full advantage of private access to a two mile stretch of the river. The first field is fenced off from the river and all the others are open to the river. It is a children’s paradise, allowing them to make dams, fish with nets and splash around, whilst the adults relax in their tent.

Our family shower rooms, laundry and large drying room are perfect for a comfortable camping experience. The hot water is provided by our eco-friendly wood-chip biomass boiler using wood grown on the locally.

What makes us different from other campsites is that we do not have set pitches; you choose where to camp on arrival. This gives you the freedom to explore the site and choose the area that appeals to you the most. Parking your car next to your tent is also allowed.

A child is charged from birth to School leaver. Booking is advisable for bank holiday weekends and during school holidays.

We have four waymarked walks over the farm, from one to two and a half hours in length. A great way to get back to nature, see all the animals and explore the farm.

The camp site is located in the heart of the International Dark Sky Reserve, which means you are perfectly located for some excellent stargazing; you just need to look up on a clear night! Westermill makes an ideal base for exploring the open moorland, wooded valleys and spectacular coastal scenery, or just simply for relaxing and escaping the hum drum of everyday life.

We allow BBQ's as long as they are placed off the ground in all fields. Our 4th camping field has fire pits set up ready for a campfire, a hit with families and friends for a get together.
